Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino directs Michael Caine as a retired conductor who is called out of retirement to perform for the Queen. Fred Ballinger (Caine) is spending a holiday with his daughter (Rachel Weisz) and her friend (Paul Dano) when an emissary from Queen Elizabeth comes from London to request he performs at Buckingham Palace.
