This is a remake of 1972 Classic Sleuth. This time Michael Caine plays the role of Andrew Wyke originally played by Laurence Olivier in the 1972 version, and not Milo Tindle as in the 1972 version. Sleuth is a story of a psychological contest between two very different men who despise one another. Andrew Wyke is an aging famous author who lives alone in a high-tech mansion after his wife Maggie has left him for a younger man. Milo played by Jude Law is the younger man, an aspiring actor, equipped with charm and wit. The story finds Milo who had ran off to London with Andrews?s wife, returning to convince Andrew to finalize his divorce as he wished to marry her. In spite of his cocky swagger, Milo is taken aback when Andrew agrees to his demands and offers him an enticing proposition. Andrew proposes that Milo fake a burglary to get his hands on some expensive jewellery belonging to Maggie, so he'll be able to support Maggie while Andrew claims the insurance money, a plan that benefits everyone. It doesn't go as planned, leading to a fierce battle of wills between these two men.
